[A drawn out yawn before...] What did I even miss... [Rin is up now, for the first time in... a while. He'd been sleeping a lot before then with intermittent periods of being awake for short hours. And now, for once, he doesn't want to sleep more. Not the lead because he's really hungry, having not really eaten for the past three days... or seen Shiemi or Skarmy in the house. Or anything. Really, the thing which immediately stood out when he finally got up and wasn't sleeping was that someone (probably Eleanor) had put a huge stack of homework by his bad.

That said, he's eating cereal now, and isn't feeling the need to nod off again despite being up almost an hour (he even showered) which is why he's using his journal]

Sorry, uh, work 'n school people and Wolverine. My bad - I guess I got really sick or something. Shiemi was takin' care of me most of the time too so sorry to any of her friends. [A pause as he chews his cereal and...] Who wants to do... anything? I've actually been sleeping way too much and I wanna stretch my legs.

[ And anyone can tell him what he missed, win-win.

Which of course means there's sidebar action as he goes to Seventh Heaven, next door, the Dome, the Item Shop and other assorted places to see what's what.]

[He arches an eyebrow and waits patiently for him to get back.]

Never got told to not run with sharps objects in your hands?

Naw, I just need this to transform.

[ And thus he draws the sword. Resulting in blue fire going everything, blue fire horns, longer claws, longer fangs and teeth, his tail lighting on fire too, and him generally just producing a big ol' demon aura ]

Impressive. Are you faster like this?

[He hopes so.]

You bet. I'm stronger, too!

Hmm, you better be, it won't be a challenge otherwise. Though if you're doing that I should call my Cloth as well.

[Give it a minute before the pieces of the armor come flying and adjust themselves in position. Soon enough Ikki will be standing fully armored with his Phoenix Cloth and smirking.]

Ready then?

You can just summon that from everywhere? Jeez, that's not fair...

[ But. He gets into a little sprint-y positon, but still holding the sword]

Ready!

Even from the other side of the world.

[Ikki smirks before getting in position as well.]

At the count of three?

[ LUCKY.

Either way, he nods. He puts out fingers to count before he says the last one out loud. One. Two...]

And three!

[ And With that he's off! He's sort of a blue fire blurr and starts off with a standing leap of 30 something feet before going off more in that same hopping fashion.

That said it's nothing on the speed Ikki just said ]

[Rin asked for it, and Ikki warned him. Besides, it has been a while since he tested his speed in full under the barrier, so Ikki doesn't hold back at all. There's soon a loud ripping sound accompanied by a flash of light running around the village, not really at the speed of light, but it's close enough. And he's back at Rin's house in a few seconds.]

[ RIN...

Can go around it in maybe a minute or thirty seconds or something, but the whole thing really does make him look turtle compared to Ikki's time.

Alas ]

[He's leaning against a wall waiting for the other to finish, counting the time it takes Rin. Definitively far slower than him, but Ikki is impressed nonetheless, it still was a pretty amazing speed.]

Not bad, are you one of the fastest ones in your world?

Oh man... [ Either way, he puts the sword back in the scabbard, so that he can go back to normal. He sighs a little, and ] I dunno, I haven't met everyone.

What about among those you know?

That Amaimon guy was pretty similarly fast, and ... supposedly there's other people related to Satan. But yeah, probably!

Then not being as fast as me isn't a problem.

Still man, what's up with being that fast?

[Ikki just shrugs.]

It's the minimum speed you need to be able to fight equally against a Gold Saint, and Marinas, and Specters... And gods. Now that I think of it that speed is more normal in my life than I thought.

[ ... Jesus ]

That's pretty awesome.

Moving that fast? It's not that special once you're doing it most of the time.

But you could never be late for anything even if you woke up late.

I can run that fast. And attack that fast. But eating, dressing and other things? That speed doesn't translate to those.

[Pause.]

At least I have never tried to move that fast while doing those things.

So, you're still get somewhere quickly.

Guess so... Unless you take too much time in getting ready.

[Ikki chuckles and shakes his head.]

Feeling more awake and in shape now?

Yeah, a lot more. I haven't been pushing myself a lot lately, actually.

You don't have to swear on that you have been sleeping most of the time lately. Want to do anything else?
