[A drawn out yawn before...] What did I even miss... [Rin is up now, for the first time in... a while. He'd been sleeping a lot before then with intermittent periods of being awake for short hours. And now, for once, he doesn't want to sleep more. Not the lead because he's really hungry, having not really eaten for the past three days... or seen Shiemi or Skarmy in the house. Or anything. Really, the thing which immediately stood out when he finally got up and wasn't sleeping was that someone (probably Eleanor) had put a huge stack of homework by his bad.

That said, he's eating cereal now, and isn't feeling the need to nod off again despite being up almost an hour (he even showered) which is why he's using his journal]

Sorry, uh, work 'n school people and Wolverine. My bad - I guess I got really sick or something. Shiemi was takin' care of me most of the time too so sorry to any of her friends. [A pause as he chews his cereal and...] Who wants to do... anything? I've actually been sleeping way too much and I wanna stretch my legs.

[ And anyone can tell him what he missed, win-win.

Which of course means there's sidebar action as he goes to Seventh Heaven, next door, the Dome, the Item Shop and other assorted places to see what's what.]

But you could never be late for anything even if you woke up late.

I can run that fast. And attack that fast. But eating, dressing and other things? That speed doesn't translate to those.

[Pause.]

At least I have never tried to move that fast while doing those things.

Guess so... Unless you take too much time in getting ready.

[Ikki chuckles and shakes his head.]

Feeling more awake and in shape now?

Yeah, a lot more. I haven't been pushing myself a lot lately, actually.

You don't have to swear on that you have been sleeping most of the time lately. Want to do anything else?

Of course I do, we barely got started doing stuff!

[The air around Ikki seems to relax completely as he hears that. He had thought that maybe Rin would want him to leave after doing something together already.]

What comes next?

[Unless he is supposed to make a suggestion now? How does one hang out with friends? He still hasn't got that part down.]

Next, we'll... go and ... [ He thinks a bout it a moment before... ] we'll go and try to catch some fish or something! That sounds good, and we could grill it up tonight.

With fishing rods or with our hands?

[Ikki's okay with both ways.]

I was thinking with rods.... but you know, doing it --- no actually it's too cold to do it by hand. Rods!

[He nods, but stops for a moment.]

The cold bothers you?

[Ikki himself is just wearing a jacket more fitted for summer than for winter.]

[ like, cold water in the middle of winter is a problem for anyone. ]

I would have thought it didn't bother you. Anyway, do you have a fishing rod? I have to go get one at the store.

[He waits and ponders for a moment, so when Rin's back he's welcomed with a question.]

Are you going to gut them as we fish them? Or are we going to fish several of them and then decide which ones to keep and free the rest?

Well, I figure I might as well gut the ones which look good, then we can pack them up and haul them back to cook 'em later. Some fresh fish would look good for dinner, after all.

I thought that too, but I meant if you are going to gut the ones that look good the moment they are fished or wait to see if we get something even better.

Oh, good point. We probably need a bucket and a cooler too.
