[For the past week, Gon has not shown up to work. This is extremely unusual. He's always on time and never calls out of a shift. If anyone happens to try to contact him through his palm reader, they will find that the message appears to go through, but there is no answer from Gon.
A couple of days into his disappearance, Rin may overhear some whispers from the Mongrels who visit the Spectrum. Something about a young man involved in a scary incident in the street.
More info will surface, should he choose to investigate. If not, he'll remain missing and silent.]
[ooc; Gon's involved in a player/mod plot! If you like, Rin can remain uninvolved and he'll return to work within the week.]
[ Considering this happened to align more or less evenly with the whole "you can go to Tanagura" thing, it's something he let slide for one or two days, and then asked the Boss. The Boss wasn't helpful, so then he tried Gon's palm reader from the employee email numbers (or something). And when that got nothing, he was... hm.
It's when he hears the rumors, he tries to butt in on that, see if it was the authorities or a gang or something. Let's at least poke it ]
[If he questions any of the people in Midas whispering about it, he'll get fractured accounts, but one guy sitting at the bar actually had something concrete.
It's one of the regulars, somebody who knew Gon, if only by sight.
He'll tell Rin in hushed tones that there was some kind of rally in Midas recently, but it was crashed by someone called the "Musicians". He'll tell Rin that Gon managed to "stop one from singing", just in time to let the others get away, and he hasn't been seen since.
When asked anything about the Musicians, he'll clam up, terrified, and tell Rin that he hopes the kid's dead.]
[ ... How bad could that be. How bad could some dudes called the Musicians be? Rin probably tried to ask that guy if he could at least explain who they are, or tell him someone who could. Because if it's that big of a deal, he should at least know what's going on with them, right? ]
[The more Rin asks, the more alarmed the guy becomes, trying to say as little as possible, until he breaks and leans across the bar to let him know that they can control people just by commanding them out loud.
You know, like a hypnotist or something.
Soon after, he'll make his excuses and leave. Maybe there are other people Rin can talk to? Someone else MUST have noticed that Gon's missing, right?]
Well then. First things first, if there's weirdos like that involved, he should probably ask the boss or some of his coworkers if they've seen Gon around. Is he jumping to conclusions for thinking that the boy is involved? Probably, but he's starting to get some feeling in his stomach. For now, he'll have to talk to them and keep his eyes open around Midas for him. Sure he lives in Diedo, but he works in Lhassa, and you can get to know everything in Apatheia, right? ]
[ I might have more later, going to see about other people conferring ]
