Rin ends up flipping her the bird before going to collect Midori the turtle and go off to look all over down for where his house just vanished to ]

I meant that the Malnosso used their abilities to send us all back in time in order to save us. Perhaps this is something similar, only they're sending objects rather than people.

They could be testing this power now that they have confirmation that it works.
