[So after running into Izumo and getting properly dressed, Rin sets out to complete his sweep for Kurikara in the item shop before heading back "home" to House 15. Possibly with Izumo he goes back there but maybe not. Either way, he ends up going there in the relatively early morning. Run into him en route, while he's looking for Kurikara, or when he's there.]

...Ossu. It's me, Rin Okumura. I got sent back. [And I've been informed my brother went home.

I'm apart from Yukio. I know I upset a lot of you. He bites his lip and then shakes his head. No, he's not saying any of that]

Pity it's too cold, h-huh? I wanted to go swimming in this pool, now it's kinda too cold for it...

Dude, I'm not a physicalcist but my flames are pretty hot, it might do it before I can stop it.

Yeah well I'm not a... A physical-ist either, but when it gets too hot you can wait for it to cool down instead. Like when you run a bath and put too much hot water in. It's a good idea no matter how you look at it!

He heads around to look for Rin by the pool when he gets there. If he spots Rin then he'll give a wave and a 'hey'.]

And uh, how's the pool?

I... just got back. [That's an answer, right? That's better than addressing other complications here. And he points to the pool. Right there Right cold] It's cold.

[He also ends up pointing at the pool before walking over, bending down and sticking his hand into the water. Eep, yup, s'cold.]

He straightens up before grinning at Rin and nodding his head towards the pool.] Come on! Try using those flames of yours already.

Alright, alright! [And he sighs before getting his sword and... drawing it. Demon form. He breathes in, breathes out. He's trying to collect himself]

[He's just going to wait until Rin actually tries heating the pool before he says anything, he wouldn't want to break his concentration or whatever.

He will however lightly bounce from one foot to the other while waiting. Pool. Pooool. Swimming. Yaaay.]

[OKAY. First he spreads his fire all over the base of the pool. Like, it's on the floor of the water, blue flames burning down there despite being underwater. He tries to control them, keep a layer of it...

And then he wills them to burn the water.


the water immediately start to boil, steam rising out and superheated bubbles popping. It's a rolling boil as soon as he starts. WHOOPS]

[Whoah! He ends up stumbling away from the pool when a wave of steam suddenly comes up and hits him in the face.]

Th-That's way too much!! Stop it, put your flames away!

[Though it does look pretty cool, seeing underwater fire and all. Looks it, definitely doesn't feel like it. Stupid steam.]

I'm trying, I'm tryyyyyying! [and he grunts before going to put his sword away! ...But the pool is half boiled out. Yes]

[It would almost be impressive if boiling away half the water was what Rin was aiming to do. But he wasn't. And now they can't swim. GOOD JOB MAN.]

... I didn't think you would make it boil that fast.

[rashness]

I told you this would happen! Now we're gunna burn ourselves if we get in there!

[Light shove. Loser!!]

That's why we're not going to get in now, idiot! I don't think anyone would.

[Wow okay he is not a loser. He had faith in Rin being able to pull this off and he screwed up! He nudges Rin back with his fist.]

You could have used way less of your flames instead of covering the entire pool floor with them, even if it looked pretty cool.

But then it wouldn't've heated it all evenly! It'd be weird to have one part be much hotter, it'd be like someone peed!

It wouldn't be like that at all. The hot water would spread out and mix with the cold, right? You wouldn't even notice the difference!

I dunno, it's clearly pretty hot!
