[So Sanji went home over a week ago. Honestly, Seventh Heaven’s been struggling to stay open since and he been conspicuously closed in the mornings where it hadn’t been before since then that time. You see, while there is a part time chef (Spock) and four members of the serving staff left, there is only one full time chef and at least one of the serving staff members isn’t coming in.

Oh, and there’s also a robot. Specifically mecha Sanji. It’s been picking up the cooking slack some, but for all of its frankly impressive robotics, it still can’t really think for itself or do much more than copy stuff it’s already seen prepared. ...Well and shoot lasers, but you know, robot. That is, until Pascal came in sometime yesterday and gave him some programming to "help" out at the place.

Or rather, to get more help. Which is way, sometime in the the afternoon today the robot steals Rin’s journal when the boy isn’t paying attention to make the following voice entry-]

[Voice / Action]
[This post begins with a hideous mechanical thing coming onto the picture, and beginning in a mechanical voice-]

My name is Sanji. We need more shitty workers at Seventh Heaven. Would you like to-

[And then there’s a sound of surprise as Rin comes into the room and exclaims-]

What the hell’re you-! [WAIT ISN’T THAT HIS JOURNAL HAS THE ROBOT GONE ROGUE? Pascal warned him about this!!]

Hello Rin. I am recruiting more shitty workers.

Who programmed you to-- no, dumb question. Just stop it already!

But we need more-

Hydrozz-- aalo nii-san! No, Hydra- Oh come on! [And at this point Rin gives up and goes to tackle the robot, because he turned his face back to the journal to continue his speil. And he seems to struggle with the robot for a bit, including an explosion before a shout of of-] Tell me you damn shut down phrase already!

Hydroxylammonium nitrate-- [And then a buzzing sound before, upon hearing the word, the robot shuts down. Rin sighs in relief and goes to pick up the book himself-]

S...sorry ‘bout that, everyone. [A beat] ...But the thing kinda has a point. We’re short handed, and while we don’t have a new boss or nothing, or even a head chef, if anyone’s willing to help us out however you think you can, could you stop by Seventh Heaven? I’m Rin, by the way, so I guess me and whoever else is here’ll be talkin’ to you.

[Because he wouldn’t want to pull a fast one on Miyabi or the others or anything. He’s really got no authority to do this in the first place...

And for the action portion, true to his word, Rin will be at Seventh Heaven all day. For once, he isn’t in the back cooking, so you might not be able to get a meal, but that’s because he’s manning the fort for anyone who might willing to help out here. [Gosh Rin. Pascal throws her hands up and stumbles back a little, dropping the pipe cleaner and letting it fall to the floor.]

I'm just tryin'- [Oh! She makes a fist and slaps it down into her free hand.] I get it, you just wanna put the pipe cleaners in yourself. You shoulda said somethin' before you got all pushy!

[She takes out the pack of pipe cleaners and tries pushing them into Rin's hands. Take them. Go on.]

Hu- no, I didn't wanna put it in at all! [But he takes it anyway, given it's been forced into his hand. He looks down at how much sticks out of his closed hand and sighs, stepping aside so she can get to the robot in the back]

Huh? I guess Mecha Sanji could try twirling 'em in for you, I'll just need to fiddle around with the mechanical dongle and plonka-plonk a few switches.

[You can't top the steady robo-hands of a mechanical chef to help fix up someone's hair. Off to the back she goes!]

What- no. He's not even programmed for that, so don't force it.

But then how else are we gonna get those pipe cleaners up there so you can get down to learning and being focused or whatever?

[Once Pascal finds Mecha Sanji in the back she gives him a few pats on his oversized head before kneeling down so she can open the mech up from the back.]

Pop that outta the way, now to move this over heeeyeah, then punch that over nyeeeah... Hey, got any rubber bands?

[They aren't going to, obviously. Jeez. But with the pope cleaners still in hand, he glances over at that last question and-] Yeah, I'm sure we've got some somewhere around here. How many and how big?

[As he heads in the direction of where he thinks they were. One of the cabinets]

Liiike, this big?

[With her head still ducked down as she examines the mech, Pascal lifts up on of her hands and adjusts her finger and thumb to show the size of elastic band she's looking for.]

Try to pick one that you could put a whole lotta oomph behind, like if I was gonna flick it at you. Ooh, and the thicker the better!

Alright, alright. BE right back.

[AND OFF HE GOEs. TO SEArCH.

This might take a little while]

[That's okay dude. While waiting, Pascal will entertain herself through the medium of song.]

Oh I'm waiting for my elastic baaand! It's gonna be super twangy, so I can put it on stuff and it won't snap! Crash, kathwang, pow! Go go go!

[Yes, that's a song. And that off-key screeching Pascal is making is singing.]

[...That is a weird song. And now it's going to stuck in his head. Maybe. It might be so bad it's not. Either way, it's only about three minutes before hes' back and he's got three rubber band options he found laying around for her]

Any of these work?

[Pascal skips on over from Mecha Sanji to see what she has for choice.]

I dunno, lemme check!

[First elastic band! She takes one, runs back across the room and tries flicking it in Rin's direction. The elastic band doesn't hit him though, instead it lands just at his feet.]

Okay, not that one. Next up iiis... That guy!

[She runs back over, grabs another one and starts heading back to where she stood before. Maybe this one will hit him!]

[WHAT. And it does, right on his cheek. Which smarts a little, but more important-]

What was that?!

[Looks like we have a winner!]

The one I need, duh.

[She recovers the elastic band and quickly heads around the back of Mecha Sanji. She did say she wanted one with enough oomph to flick at him!]

Hey, you could try using one of those other bands to keep your hair up! Man, I'm on a roll today.

--Will you stop focusing on my hair, already?

[HE doesn't even respond to that first part, so much was he in a state of something resembling shock that she, well, did that. Even if he isn't sure why he would be. It's Pascal.]

But I don't even have a microscope so I can look at it all close up or nothin'.

[How else could she really focus on it?

Pascal is now knelt down and fumbling around with the inner workings of the mecha. She's managed to put the elastic band in place, but with the way she pulls back and looks at her work it's hard to tell what she's thinking.]

[It is.

And you know what, he's just going to scoot out now. Maybe he can go and meet more people up front and then let he just work back here]
