[Okay so the last two weeks have been rocky for Rin. After all at the New Feather party he made a huge ass of himself twice in public. On the other hand, he picked up meditation lessons, starting showing his tail in public, landed a respectable job as a cook at Seventh Heaven and lots of other productive things! But really, the facts now hitting him that not only was he here over his birthday (back in December) he's now been here over three months. Three. God Forsaken. Months.

At least he knew with certainty nothing would be happening tomorrow. Sure, it was Valentines, but how can he reasonably expect to be getting and chocolate? Even Shiemi has way more friends than him here. So... he'll be doing something truly sad all day today. Namely, he'll be making truly elaborate and well crafted chocolate creations in the kitchen at the first floor of his building (Community Building 1) .... For himself. Yep. all day in his apron and with his tail exposed, of course. Oh, and his box turtle is with him (well it used to be Jacqli's, it's basically his now).

It seems that foreveralone and light frustration can do wonders to your chocolate-making skills. Even if your inspiration is a bit... lacking

[There's a boy with a funny hat staring at your chocolate, admiring the craftsman ship the the practiced eyes of an artist. Though curious, he holds back on immediately asking about it--Yugo instead latches onto the fact that this is a person, alone. Like him, unlike many people in Luceti at that moment. The possibility of answers or shared confusion is enough to get him to approach.]

...That looks like a really cool chocolate turtle there. Did you get it at the bakery? [Okay. Not what he wanted to ask immediately...but it was a pressing question!]

[And just then Rin bit off one of its legs. He's actually chewing as he answers-]

[Pardon him for a moment as he translates this. His papa always taught him not to speak while chewing, both for politeness and to avoid any mishaps.]

You made that? [He's done baking, but most of his experience lies in standard lunch or dinner fare. Or stew. Especially stew. Working with chocolate in its base form was something he didn't know as well.] How did you make it? Did you carve it like wood, or did you melt it into something?

[Grumble, grumble, tail wag, biting off the turtle's tail. Tch... stupid Valentines with stupid cupid. He shouldn't be bitter he knows but he mad. Just a little. And he hasn't taken note of that guy or he might be being more pale now.]

Here he goes, walking towards Rin now and speaking in a way that shouldn't give off any vibes of 'hey dude I totally saw everything in the pool and that was really awkward so yeah'.]

[ Today there's a Kotomi wandering through the village, looking for someone - judging from that box of chocolates in her hands, either way. But instead when she passes the square, she sees Rin sitting there and.. well, even oblivious Kotomi remembers part of last time, so there's the awkward moment when she doesn't know if she should approach or shouldn't. So instead she's doing the obviously smart thing by standing there and staring at him like some sort of idiot. ]

[It's hard to miss that, but he really, really isn't sure he wants to confront or be confronted by her either. He grumbles to himself and instead settles for biting the head off of his chocolate turtle]

[ There's a legit few minutes of just standing there and staring before she finally does walk up to him, bowing a little as she does. ]

[Oh... Rin is cooking again. This is always neat to watch because she knows he's really good at it. In fact she's there staring for minutes not even saying anything to Rin. However that's mostly because she gets distracted by the box turtle. It's... so cute.]

[And it just stares back at her, lazily. You're... that girl. He's seen you a few times. Usually when Rin is going to see you, right? So you're... ...that girl.
