...That was really hard to get out. Which is way it comes out so strangely. It ends with him smiling, but through most of it he was. Having a hard time of it.]

[She stopped, her eyes comically wide before what he says registers in her mind and her cheeks take on a happy, high blush.]

I...I would love to go to Homecoming with you.

[He sounds genuinely surprised for a moment. Before-]

I mean- I mean, that's good! I was hoping you'd say that!

[Obviously...]

[twinlionfists]

Y-yes, of course. [She looks down at her hands to find that she is tapping her fingers together.] I-I was hoping that you wanted to come with me as well.

[rashness]

You were?!

[ . . .

Ooops yeah ]

[twinlionfists]

Y-yes? [Goodness, why was this turning out so awkward? She just wanted to be happy about going to the dance with her crush.] I...I have been looking for you today to ask you out myself, since I did not know if you were interested in attending with me.

[rashness]

Of course I was! I mean- I didn't know you'd be into going with me!

[Thought he is awkward, he's also excited, which is probably why he ends up taking hold of her hands. Or at least trying to]

Please ignore the Naruto plushie. =P

[After a few more seconds of awkward silence in which he holds her hands, she gives up being embarrassed and lets a giggle escape.]

I would love to go to the dance with you, Rin-kun.

And I'd love to go with you, Hinata.

[Hence why he just asked her... oops]

[She just smiles at him for a moment. Then, something occurs to her.]

I...I can have my family's driver come and get you in our car if you'd like?

[...Would they even went to drive into Lowtown? Could they? Realistically, he just figured he'd ride the bus to it. But...]

Oh, yeah. Yeah, that could work.

[twinlionfists]

If you would give me your address, I can give it to the driver and he will find a way to get there. [Because she has no idea how to get to Lowtown, even if her father insisted that she and Neji learn to drive as a condition of letting them live with their older sister and her wife.]

I would drive, but I do not know that part of town and would get lost.

[rashness]

Oh. [...] Well sure, I can give you the address. [After all, he's got no way to put her up anyway. And he gives the address now-- wait he should write it down...]

[Before he can stress out, Hinata pulls out a small pad of paper and the pen she keeps in her jacket pocket and writes it down.]

Good. I will make sure that I give this to Hendricks-san. [Have a shy smile.] I...I will see you tomorrow then?

[rashness]

Y...yeah. I'll see you tomorrow.

[He says this a little awkwardly. Because he's so excited that he's almost disbelieving. But. He'll do it... he'll be picked up and see her there and go to the dance with her!]
