[Action]
[ So a habit Rin has developed neigh-daily these days is going out into the forest to train with his flames. That is to say, he brings a small sac of candles collected from the item shop, and practices lighting them on fire the way Shura told him to try out back home. It's harder here given he can't draw his sword still and he can't access all of his power, so his control's been all over the place. Recently though, he encountered a man in the forest who reminded him there might be a wolf who might be pissed at his flame-practice in her trees. Thus, since that encounter Rin has switched gears. Namely, he's tried to work on some sword-swinging forms.
Thing is, he only has a wooden sword, and with nothing to fight against (normally he'd go against Kuro, but Kuro... well, isn't here) he's not sure how to handle it. Still, he practices swinging out into the forest, trying to get a feel for things so that when he can draw Kurikara again, he can do so more effectively. Today, however, is different. When Rin goes to his clearing, he encounters a cold and somewhat old looking giant bug. The bug looked at him warily, and Rin looked at it warily. There was a brief confrontation in which Rin wished for the hundredth time that his Demon Telepathy worked on things here in Luceti.
But... seeing his sword and seeing the sword-like arms on the bug, Rin concluded this thing, too, was a warrior. The bug, seeming to look for some semblance of normality within this cold and unfamiliar forest, perked up at Rin assuming a swordman's stance at the bug. The two nodded at each other... and the duel began]
Come on, you got- [the scythe deflects his last blow, though it does not slice the wooden sword in half just yet, mercifully] whoa- [Rin then flips back, doing a standing backflip back, causing his tail to fly back a bit and when he lands, some more blue flames sprout up into being on his shoulders as he smirks and lunges a strike which actually manages to connect with the old Scyther's shoulder] There!
[ Yes, the fight raced through the forest and finally made it into town, or well, the edges of town. On one end there is Tracey's Scyther who despite being old and more than a little tired by now, is refusing to admit defeat to this actually amazingly strong "human" in front of him. On the other side is Rin, who now has his shoulders and parts of his upper arms tinged with sparks of blue fire and a wooden sword in his hand. His clothing is ripped in place, and he has a few splotches of blood on him, though no obvious wounds (thanks healing factor!). He also has his tail exposed for once. It's waving behind him, because his shirt ripped in just the right spot to expose it mid-fight and he's not been in a position to put it back away.
Despite the fact that they're fighting, those who knows to sense the mood of combat ought to sense that the two are not doing this out of hatred or anything. In fact, both seem to be very excited and have quickly developed an odd sense of admiration for the other's ability. The only minor exception to this is the fact that Rin is still rearing to go while scyther is obviously tiring out (so Rin might have his sword just sliced in half soon enough). So, well. Feel free to run into this scene]
